• Reliable power for extreme settings: bebob Vmicros support National Geographic's Thai Cave Rescue docu

In the summer of 2018, the whole world held its breath when a young football team and their coach were trapped in a Thai cave, Tham Luang Nang Non, by a sudden flood. Their chances of survival seemed very slim due to the complicated local conditions - but after nine days, divers actually managed to rescue the boys and their coach. A few months later, work began on an ambitious film project led by Mallinson Sadler Productions. For the National Geographic series "Drain the Oceans" a documentary of the rescue was to be shot, together with a 3D laser scan survey of the cave. Please read GBCT...Read More

  • Dan Kneece powers off bebob Micros for Rode Island Indie

When it comes to the moving camera, few can challenge the finesse of Dan Kneece. His resume reads like a Who’s Who of highly regarded films - from his legendary Steadicam work throughout the 1980s and ‘90s to his dynamic cinematography today. Recently for an untitled Rhode Island project, directed by Michelle Salcedo, Kneece had the opportunity to try out new solutions to power the camera rig through its moves along the sandy Rhode Island shore. To help “fly” the Canon ME20FSH 4.5 million ISO camera for a pivotal sequence, he opted for the simple versatility of the Fig Rig. To monit...Read More
  • With bebob V150 batteries in the Swiss Mountains...

This summer we received a request from Niels Herrmann, owner of the film production Apparillo. He was preparing the shootings of a film for a charitable Caritas project in the Swiss mountains. The biggest problem for the shooting was "the electricity question" - after all, sockets in the Swiss mountains are rather rare... Of course we could and wanted to support this project! For the shooting, the Canon C200 and a SmallHD monitor were used. Apparillo had chosen four of our V150 V-Mount batteries for their power supply, together with the COCO-15V III battery plate. We are very happy abo...Read More

  • HIGHER GROUND - bebob batteries at the Mont Blanc

The timelapse film "HIGHER GROUND" by cameraman and filmmaker Flo Nick demonstrates with spectacular shots how breathtakingly beautiful the mighty mountain landscape around Chamonix - Mont Blanc is. Everyone who sees the film can imagine that the shooting conditions were extremely strenuous. The complete film equipment had to be carried many hundreds of meters in altitude and through masses of snow, besides Flo Nick was on his own most of the time. With him: some of our V-Mount batteries and a VS2 charger to power the setup. The film was made with a Sony A7sII and an A7II, which were us...Read More
